Jimmie E. Ward (James Emanuel Ward) was born on December 21, 1922 in Flatwood, Alabama. He passed away July 27, 2017 in Saraland, Alabama in his home. He was a resident of New Caney, Texas and returning home to Mobile, Alabama after 45 years.
Jimmie graduated Murphy high school in 1943. Following high school he joined the United States Navy where he served honorably as a "COX. CB," in World War II from 1943 to 1946. He then became an apprentice for Houston Street metal from 1946-1948.

Jimmie E. Ward (James Emanuel Ward) was born on December 21, 1922 in Flatwood, Alabama. He passed away July 27, 2017 in Saraland, Alabama in his home. He was a resident of New Caney, Texas and returning home to Mobile, Alabama after 45 years.
Jimmie graduated Murphy high school in 1943. Following high school he joined the United States Navy where he served honorably as a "COX. CB," in World War II from 1943 to 1946. He then became an apprentice for Houston Street metal from 1946-1948.
Jimmie worked with the sheet metal union local 54 for more than 69 years in Houston, Texas. He traveled all over Texas and the southern states as a sheet metal welder. Jimmie had a passion for welding and fabrication as well as fishing and shrimping, he loved to dance and continued to do so for as long as he could. His family knew him as one of the best gardeners in the county and for the love of animals, always had a full yard of dogs, and cats to follow him around every day.
Jimmie is joining His Mother Cora Irene Gartman and Father Lake Ward, His extended parents George and Verla Ward and his sister Helen Marie Ward Vickers.
He is leaving behind to miss him his wife Ethel Annette McNamar; children Sandra Kaye Ward Holle, Stephanie Sue Lavada Franklin Diamond and Matthew Randle; his extended family members Bernice Ward, Steve Emanuel Ward, Edward E. Vickers Cazalas, Vivian Marie Vickers and Joe H. Vickers, Jr.
Many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren as well as his many friends.
